We have been presenting the Brainwash Movie Festival in the San Francisco Bay Area, and other places, occasionally, in this country, for the past 30 years. We started at a site at Marin and Illinois Streets, holding our first festival in 1995, close by to BVHP. We have been at different locations in the Bay Area, including others in San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, and Doyle, CA, and have recently returned to BVHP at the New Farm, in 2023, and, more recently, The Box Shop in 2024 and will be again in 2025, later this summer and fall.
We started last year presenting an annual movie festival – The Brainwash Movie Festival – and other movie shows for the first time at the Boxshop, located at 951 Hudson Ave., San Francisco. All BVHP movie makers are strongly encouraged to submit to the festival, and can do so on our website. Any BVHP residents who submit to the festival, and so indicate, will receive free submission and free admission to the festival events.
