Nahyun Kim

I am an artist and painter working out of Hunt Projects in Bayview-Hunters Point. You can find me in my studio most days of the week.

My paintings are bridges between worlds, time and space. They are messages from my ancestors, which are entwined with my experiences within the diaspora, my imagery culled from Korean folktales with its surreal landscapes and elemental harmony. My practice is an act of devotion and a primal search for our beginnings. By searching for where we came from, we can pay tribute to those who came before and contribute to what will come after.
