My work honors the unseen labor that sustains our world, drawing inspiration from those who exist in society’s margins – from international garment workers to local recycling collectors, day laborers, and household fixers. Through multidisciplinary practices that subvert traditional techniques, I create compositions that embody a DIY aesthetic of resourcefulness and utility. By exposing the typically hidden aspects of construction – like the insides of seams or stretcher bars within paintings – my process mirrors how essential workers remain invisible despite their crucial contributions, inviting viewers to witness what is typically overlooked.

I moved to the Bayview in 2020 with my family and am grateful to make it my home and place of work. My studio, as well as the inspiration for some of my newest work, resides in the Bayview. The textiles and media for my paintings are sourced from our local hardware and fabric store.
